The company has unveiled an original DIY kit that can be used to create an exclusive version of a smartphone with a flexible screen. In addition to the AMOLED display, the kit includes other components required for assembly – with the exception of the case.
The kit, called RoKit, comes in a special anti-static aluminum alloy case. Its main element is the third generation Cicada Wing flexible display module with a diagonal of 7.8 inches (1920×1440 pixels, 60 Hz, aspect ratio 3: 2).
In addition, the kit includes a motherboard with a Snapdragon 660 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Out of the box, it is preinstalled with Android 10. The package is complemented by various cables, expansion modules and two Wi-Fi antennas.
The customer will have to select or manufacture the case for assembly on their own. The original Royole kit, which is already available for order in the US, costs $ 959.
