Apple confirmed a delay during the launch of the iPhone 12 series in the second quarter of 2020 (third fiscal quarter). Now more details emerge from the same topic in a report. According to him, the US tech giant will start shipping its latest iPhones gradually.
A new report from DigiTimes (via MacRumors) is pleased that there will be a delay between the launch of the iPhone 12 series models. Of the four expected models, two phones will be released first, followed by the other two after a few weeks.
Apple is supposed to introduce four iPhone 12 series handsets this year with different sizes 1 x 5.4 inch, 2 x 6.1 inch and 1 x 6.7 inch. The 6.1-inch models will be available first, according to the report, as vendors have started shipping SLP (substrate-shaped PCB) motherboards to them. Whereas the SLP for the other two models will start shipping from vendors from the end of August.
This clearly indicates that the 6.1-inch iPhone models must be delivered to customers before the other two models. These two phones are expected to be a high-end version with a tri-camera setup and a low-end variant with a dual camera module respectively.
According to previous reports, all 2020 iPhone 12 models will support 5G powered by a 5nm chipset. In addition, all will be sporty OLED is displayed.
