The Motorola RAZR 5G was first mentioned months ago, but it’s only now that we’re seeing tangible clues. After the first image of the new foldable leaked last week, three new photos now show the phone in hand.
The iconic chin appears to have been tempered and the fingerprint reader has moved. Where to go? Even Samsung’s Z Fold 2 and Z Flip 5G shouldn’t have built-in drives, so maybe Motorola moved it to the side of the phone that you can’t see in the photos.

Also note the single camera – a recent rumor claimed that this camera will be upgraded to a 48 MP sensor (instead of 16 MP). However, there is no ultra wide camera or TV here. The selfie camera should jump up to 20 MP (from 5 MP), but since it’s a foldable one, you can still use the external screen as a viewfinder for the main camera.
These won’t be the only upgrades, the Motorola RAZR 5G is said to have a Snapdragon 765G chipset (instead of S710), 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The battery has a little bump too, packing 2845mAh, plus an 18W charge.
At first there was talk of a larger 6.7-inch screen, but more recent rumors claim that the Moto will stick to the 6.2-inch diagonal of the current model. Motorola could unveil this improved foldable in September.
