Minecraft Nether update brings warmth to an already fiery dimension

The latest Minecraft security patch has been released and it’s dubbed the Nether Update. For the fiery world filled with spooky fortresses, lava, and enemies that get you to text, this is going to bring a huge boost and changes. It will add more fuel to the Fiery Nether with new monsters, biomes, and blocks. The update is live for Java and Bedrock players – the latter include Android, iOS, Windows 10, Xbox One, PS 4, and Nintendo Switch.

The announcement was made on the Minecraft website via a blog post “The Nether Update is here” asking players to “download it to their platform today.” According to details in patch 1.16 Bedrock, four new biomes, Soul Sand Valley, Crimson Forest, Wraped Forest, and Basalt Deltas have been added to the Nether.

The Nether Update brings over 300 bug fixes since the last patch and also fixes 180 bugs reported by fans in the community. Thus, it will make the game more stuffy with new cool creatures like pigs, walkers, and fungal creatures riding lava. The original Nether biome is now called Nether Wastes.

In addition to creatures and biomes, the update also introduces a number of gameplay additions, including Netherite “a powerful new material that makes diamond look like a cobblestone.” Players of the Bedrock-powered platform will be more surprised – they can find a new Nether-themed adventure called “Way of the Nether,” which is available for free download.

In order to access all the features and concrete gameplay of the patch, players must update the game to its latest version. Check Bedrock changelogs for more details and what to expect.
