Xiaomi is preparing to release the successors of the Redmi K40 series smartphones. Several network informants shared information about upcoming new products at once, revealing their main features and differences from their predecessors.
So, an insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station published on Weibo the names of all three models of the new line: Redmi K50, K50 Pro and K50 e-sports edition (probably talking about the Gaming Edition). The source also clarified that one of the versions will acquire an under-screen fingerprint scanner, while in the rest it will be integrated into the power button.
In addition, Digital Chat Station announced that the brand is testing two more smartphone models – Redmi Note (L16 / L16U) and Redmi 4G (L19). The second gadget, according to the insider, will be an entry-level device and will receive a screen with a waterdrop notch for a selfie camera.
Network informant under the nickname Panda is Bald said that Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will come with a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with Full HD + resolution and a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear camera of the gadget will include three sensors: the main one at 48 or 64 megapixels and two additional ones at 13 and 2 megapixels. Also, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is credited with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and a 4700 mAh battery with support for 120-watt charging. The dimensions of the device will be 162 x 76.8 x 8.45 mm, weight – 210 grams.
