Do we just get a glimpse of Google’s Pixel 5G phones?

  • The Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 5G may have a broken cover in a leaked image.
  • It looks like the Pixel 4a 5G will be bigger than the flagship.
  • Google is expected to launch the standard Pixel 4a today.

The Google Pixel 4a was leaked a lot in 2020 and we’re about to be revealed later today. This phone is not expected to be a 5G model, but it looks like two 5G Pixel phones may have broken the cover yesterday.

Serial tipster Ishan Agarwal shared an image (via Samsung bloat) allegedly showing the Pixel 5 5G on the left and the Pixel 4a 5G on the right. Look at the image in the embedded tweet below.

Agarwal suggests that the Pixel 4a 5G will be larger than the standard model, which will essentially make it a Pixel 4a XL except for its name. Hopefully Google will add a bigger battery to both phones, as 5G connectivity tends to dramatically reduce battery life compared to 4G.

The photo also shows what appears to be a very similar camera case for the two phones. Google added a secondary rear camera to the Pixel 4 series last year, so it wouldn’t be surprising if both phones continue this trend. Then again, leaked images of the standard Pixel 4a show a camera body similar to the Pixel 4, but the budget phone is only expected to contain a single rear camera.

The Samsung Bloat account holder also complaints that the Pixel 4a 5G will cost $ 500 at launch, while suggesting that it could be equipped with the Snapdragon 765G processor. This account does not have a long experience at all, so it is worth taking these leaks with a pinch of salt.
