Black Shark 3S 120Hz screen compared to iPhone 11 Pro Max

To add to the earlier-today news that the Black Shark 3S will be announced on July 31, the company released an official teaser video, further revealing some of the phone’s specs. The display supports 120Hz refresh rates for smooth animations and high frame rate gaming, while a 270Hz touch refresh rate digitizer ensures optimal touch response.

The teaser also reveals a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with MEMC 3.0 support, which interpolates additional frames into any regular video, making it appear to have a higher frame rate. This kind of functionality was first introduced on the 120Hz display of the OnePlus 8 Pro.

To show off the smoothness of the screen, another video compared the touch responsiveness and refresh rate to that of the iPhone 11 Pro Max in a face-to-face.

The Black Shark 3S was teased last week in images posted by the CEO of the company. They show some of the front and back sides of the phone with three main cameras and its modern angular design.

Black Shark 3S Teased By Brand CEO

For comparison, the Black Shark 3 smartphone had a screen with only a 90Hz refresh rate. In addition to the beefed up display specs, we expect the 3S to come with a Snapdragon 865+, and it will offer probably UFS 3.1 storage speeds. The top-of-the-line Black Shark 3 Pro supported 65W fast charging, so we can expect the same for the 3S while barring our fingers that it might even be new charging technology. of 120 W that Xiaomi is expected to announce next month.
